    Poor DD.

    DD has a stress fracture in her foot,was confirmed today. She has to be fitted with a boot,but no appointments until next week and they are off to Greece for half term she has no wish to cancel her holiday and will manage with a support bandage. Can't say I blame her,she needs this holiday. Just wish my poor girl could get a break from health issues,concerns now about osteoporosis as she has chronic back pain as well.

    As I said before Libra a stress Fracture is more painful than a break , I cant blame her having a holiday she needs it xxx

      The poor thing, Libra. I totally agree that she needs this holiday,,and I hope the foot doesn't spoil it too much for her.

        She doesn't seem to be having much luck Libra at the moment but I agree she needs the break, I always find I walk more when on holiday than I do at home so hope she manages to take it easy

              Your DD certainly is having more than her fair share of medical problems, I hope she can take her boot off on holiday when she is relaxing in the sunshine

                Oh Libra Gran, hope your DD manages to have a good holiday.She certainly needs it.

                  You begin to wonder what else is going to go wrong don't you?The bad luck just seems to build up. I do hope this holiday is the start of much better times for your DD.

                    Libra sorry I am late to this. this is what happened to me but I refused a boot as I wouldn't have been able to work. I had two foot fractures if you remember quite close together. The last one is still affecting me, I have only just starting wearing heels again and only small ones but strap my foot for support. I also have a back problem which I have never had before and a trapped nerve due to the back problem. I am just about to start a course of physio. The physio told me that in cases of foot and ankle problems back problems often follow as you tend to walk differently when you have a pain somewhere in your lower limbs and because it is unfamiliar it cause the pain. I have also had tests for osteoporosis and have been told I am at the lowest level and I can do a lot to help myself (vitamin D and various other things). I sympathise with your DD.

                      I hope your DD has a wonderful holiday LG. I'm sure she needs it after all her recent problems. Make sure she takes her E111 ( got a new name but can't remember what it is!) with her, just in case!

                        DD gets her boot fitted tomorrow,she had a meeting in Taunton Somerset today of all the virtual head teachers.Fortunaltely she didn't drive -some one else did.I have told her and her OH has told her not to work, but may as well bang your head on a brick wall.She finishes today for the half term.

                          Just catching up Libra, your poor DD it must be so painful, bet she is pleased to break up for the half term and get away from it all, she certainly needs the break, hope the boot helps
