I am down in North Devon in a converted barn with OH and dog.We have just got back from Woolacombe and Croyde bay where our lab has just had her first run on a beach. We are deep in the countryside surrounded by lambs, primsoses and daffodils which were out on Friday but just going today. From the conservatory we watch resident pheasants and squirrels every morning and evening. There is a bird feeder just outside which has many kinds of birds visiting continually, woodpeckers, great tits, coal tit, blue tits and we think a nuthatch. We will check at feeding time. The buds on the trees are bursting and the blossom is just beginning in the orchard in front. of us

The best of our daffodils are over but pushing their way up past them are lupins and hardly fuschias.
We have lettuce growing in our veg containers , strawberries in a hanging basket ( they are still in the grow house, too cold for them outside at the moment) and I have just thinned out some caranation plants. I love spring 😃Bring me sunshine in your smile.

MillieB, can I come to stay? Sounds like my kind of heaven. Are you on holiday or is that your home? Either way I envy you. 😩 Spring is my favourite season. I wonder if it's because it coincides with my birthday month?"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Today has been beautiful here - wall-to-wall sunshine and warm enough to go out in a t-shirt. I walked Clyde fairly late this morning, and there were crowds of people on holiday and out enjoying our beautiful Forest in the sunshine. I was amused to see one couple with table plus umbrella! chairs, coolbox, and all the trappings of a day-long picnic. There were lots of children paddling in the river, cyclists, horse riders, dog walkers, the lot! It felt more like high summer than spring, but I'm not complaining.
This this afternoon I edged the lawns and cut them - then made a pot of tea and sat in the garden reading the paper until 5.30. Bliss!!
