    Board Games

Do you enjoy board games? Which ones do you play?
    .
I am fan I must admit. Playing these is part of our annual New years Eve get together, and we try to have friends round for games a couple of times during the year as well. We are doing so today and my aim is to make this a more regular event.

OH and I play Scrabble sometimes, just the 2 of us. GD, 8 quite likes it too. GS, 5, likes Ludo and Snakes and Ladders.

I am not a big fan of Monopoly, I find it boring. I love Cluedo, and various other games which I can't remember the names of. The 5 Second Rule is a funny game. It's surprising how hard it can be to think of 3 things in a certain category, when the 5 second timer is counting down. We have had some very funny answers! Logo, a game about brand names is a good one.

The firm favourite in our group of friends and with family is Sequence. A type of board game/card game. It seems to bring out the competitive spirit in us all, and we play it for ages! I am beginning to know who will be most useful on my team, and try to sit in the right position around the table so that I will be on their team

This is Sequence, for anyone who doesn't know it.

We like games of any kind here, especially cards. Othello, Monopoly, Shut the Box, Rummicub all get played from time to time. The older GCs have taught us a new card game recently which is favourite at the moment. I play scrabble on line too as OH doesn’t enjoy it.

We never play board games now, although we do have quite a few from when the kids were little.

When we are on holiday,me and hubby sometimes have a game of cards.
It's surprising how many ask if they can join in.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I have a love/hate relationship with board games. I'd never suggest a crowd of us sit down and play, but when we do I really enjoy it.

I quite like Scrabble, although I'm not tactical enough to get decent scores. I like the original Trivial Pursuit, draughts, and for some obscure reason, I like Ludo. The game we've had the most laughs with is Balderdash - it's a bit like Call my Bluff on speed!

Grauntie, you and any other GRUers would be most welcome to one of our games nights or afternoons if you lived close enough ☺

Plant, I tried to private message you but got a message saying you’ve used your quota, which I assume means your inbox is full! Happy to play. I use Words with Friends and also Word Chums. PM me when you get time.

Yes we like board games but we don’t seem to play them unless GC are here .
Monopoly is a firm favourite but I am hopeless at Cluedo , I have never won a game !
Some pubs now have board games for customers to use ..... not that I visit such establishments you understand
