Guilty here, too! When GD1 gets home from school her preferred activity most days is cutting out and colouring, and I'm always ready to join in. Even GD2 at 14 months loves those scribble on thingies that you can wipe clean by moving the lever/knob up and down."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. Good Lord Gem, whatever next! Guilty as charged with the colouring and painting outside when the weather is fine.Have 100'sphotos of GD 1 doing all this and loving it with me cutting things out and her pasting. GD 2 not so keen at the moment but in summertime when we get the paints on the table outside she will love it!Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

I love colouring in too, G was here yesterday, colouring in with his cousins got quite upset when I took the "felt pens" off him, he was OK once I got on the floor with him and his pencils, mind must admit wasn't too bad going off the lines, funny though OH came looking for me and I was the only one left colouring in, they had all got bored and went into their aunties bedroom....How does a child spell Love..........T.I.M.E

[QUOTE=Libra Gran;n4312]Oh no it's a trend, anyone else get irritated when the youngest goes out the lines [/QUOTE
Sorry Libra Gran but it's all part of child development... hand, eye, brain co-ordination. Would you believe my DDs still ask for a Christmas stocking. Eldest DD asked 'nicely' last Christmas for a colouring bk as she finds it relaxing.
When I taught an art group at a local MIND organisation their favourite activity was colouring. The walls were covered with them. The once dull room was made beautifully bright & energised."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
