Thanks Gem. Maybe I should have gone to your mum for help.😉 Fingers crossed my GD will do the same as your DD & keep it.

Nana - well done for completing a very difficult project. I do hope your GD keeps it to treasure when she's grown up and has children of her own. I've seen some of the exquisite American quilts and love how they put labels on them - it seems to complete the circle to me, but I hadn't heard about the card telling the story of the quilt. I think that's fascinating. I'm sure when your GD is a little older she will love hearing the story of how you made her special quilt - all the trials and tribulations and how you ended up with a family heirloom-to-be.

Gem - I bet your mum is delighted that your DD3 still treasures the quilt she made.

Thank you everyone. Glad you like it. I heard from my DD today & they both love it. It seems as though GD likes all the colours & keeps stroking the picture of us. DD was very touched by it all.

I also made a little red felt heart, (saying it was a little piece of my love) with a length of ribbon on it, attached inside a little pocket on one of the hexagons. DD said GD was really excited to find it. So it's been worth it.

I could only put two pictures on my media. I'll have to look how to resize again.

Nana - I'm so pleased your DD and GD both love the quilt. I can imagine GD's little face when she found the heart in one of the hexagons.

You should be able to put more on your media, Nana, but try sending them one at a time rather than several at once (if indeed that's what you tried to do).
