Been trying to build my family tree when I have the time but have found out that our library has free access to ancestry on they computers don't know if that is country wide or not but if you are interested it might be worth checking it out I would like to see about it but have a few more busy months ahead and I have a appointment at hospital about my cataract in july

Good luck with the hospital appointment.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

granma2aj - it's fascinating isn't it - finding out about our ancestors. I seem to work on our family tree in fits and starts - but, you're right, it is very time consuming.

It's amazing what is available at libraries these days - I didn't know they offered access to Ancestry.

How far back have you been able to trace so far?

I hope you can get the cataract treated quickly.

Our City library is the only one you can get access and its about 15 miles away our little local library have some stuff but you have to book way in advance as everyone seems to be doing ancestry lately ,

Funnily enough I was looking through mine on Monday as one of my nieces wanted to know something and I was thinking I must get started again

That's interesting Granma2aj, I'm not sure if our local libraries have this facility. I will ask!

Yes, our library has this facility. It’s useful for our family history group members who don’t have access to this at home.

Oma - I'm stuck with my mother's family. I know so little about them, and have only got as far as my grandparents!

I haven't even started on my OH's family - he's Welsh, and you know our surname!!!
