I do meditate a bit. Certainly not every day, but it's true that the more you practice it the easier it is. I've tried, and failed at using a mantra - it just becomes an ear worm, but I like the controlled breathing and relaxation. I used to find my mind wandering, like Oma, but now I tend to fall asleep, so I do the breathing exercises in bed mostly!
It's worth experimenting with different techniques - have you tried a You Tube video to 'guide' you, Gem?"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I practiced Yoga for about nine years but I have a slight balance problem in the right ear so had to stop when it got bad. I loved the meditation at the end of the class, the mind does wander but with practise you can shut out all thoughts except your breath and relaxing your bodyWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I've wanted to learn how to meditate for years. When you know more about it Gem keep us informed please. Thanks. Not sure what the Mindfulness technique is Enfys. If only I could block out my thoughts when it's time to sleep that would be wonderful."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Nana, there lots of info out there and different techniques to try. I just really concentrate on my breathing which has helped a lot with my palpitations and mild panic attacks. There’s a lot more to it and quite interesting when you look into it a bit more."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
