Qwerty-I recently had a similar scare but was diagnosed with Bronchiactasis. Not too jolly as it is for life but better than the expected alternative. I have an idea how relieved you both must feel. X

Qwerty - I'm so pleased and relieved for you both. Big hugs. xxx

When DS2's FIL was going through the same process, they ruled out lung cancer, which of course was a huge relief, and then suggested COPD but sometime later (I think it was 2 or 3 months) they also said it wasn't that. His lung function had continued to improve. He'd had a really bad bout of pneumonia, which I think it what your OH had?

That must be a relief Qwerty! We almost always fear the worst don't we? I think it is a defence mechanism, which prepares us for those times when our worse fears come true,
I hope you can both relax a bit more now

I am so so pleased for you both with the results J has COPD it is not through smoking it is from the enzyne dust particals from when he worked in the Labboratory at Lever Brothers in the 70s,it is managable but he has to have steroids when he has a bad bout of chest infection,he can usually tell when this is on the cards and starts the medication straight away.Funnily enough those soap powders have now been banned.
