    Mouth shapes

In for a penny in for a pound might as well get my health issues off my chest , have any of you noticed as you get older your mouth or to be exact your teeth changing or any movement I have had straightish teeth as long as I can remember but my bottom teeth are curving in the middle and dropping backwards doesn't bother me but seems like my mouth might be having an ageing problem just flipping strange 😬

I used to have a gap in between my front teeth large enough to get a penny between , I'm lucky to get floss in between now , and a tooth next to them has slightly overlapped backwards , I'm not sure if this has happened since I fell and broke my two front teeth in December or its slowly been happening , very odd isn't it 😕

As we get older I think the arrangement of our teeth does change, and mouths can look more down turned, due to the dreaded lines!!

Yes Qwerty, our gums shrink with age. I know this because 15 years ago my OH, now 82, began to have what he called "tombstones" for teeth Our dentist confirmed normal shrinkage of the gums. Mine began a couple of years ago, not so noticeable now but they will be

Last year I had to have 2 bridges replaced because of shrinkage of the top gums my dentist said I was luckly to not to have replaced them sooner due to age,the price they cost I would have expected them to have lasted a lifetime

I was only there a couple of weeks ago and only noticed it this week so just a matter of getting used to it I hope, next time I go for a check up will
mention it though. My DS and dil bought me an electric toothbrush to replace an old one it was then that I noticed whilst scrubbing each tooth the novelty will wear off that I guess

Same here. Slight overlap on one of my top front teeth but much more noticeable change with the lower ones.

My dentist always refers to my bite as my 'strange bite'. Top row of teeth not bad but the bottom row have gotten really higledy pigledy. I hope I never have false teeth as it's always been one of my dreaded things.
