    Cradle Cap ???

During the past few weeks I have had an itchy part on my scalp just above the back neckline and yesterday it really bothered me that much that I asked my neighbour to take a look and she said it looked just cradle cap and looked very dry and flaky,I am wondering if one of the oil based shampoo's may help it calm down and lift it off I have never suffered with this before as I always use good shampoo and conditioner on my hair, maybe I need a trip to the baby clinic lol.any suggestions would be grateful ladies.

Glam could it be a touch of dermatitis ? Worth asking for a consultation with the pharmacist (save waiting for Dr appointment ) if you leave it it could spread and be very uncomfortable, shampoo may irritate it , my DS gets a patch about the size of a 10p on his crown but his is psoriasis he also gets that on his arms and legs . Best get it checked xx

Thats what the chemist suggested aggie after he looked at it he thinks just a build up of dry skin, he has ordered it for delivery for to-morrow he is only a small practice so doesn't carry a lot of stock unless ordered.

Glamm - How lovely that you are youthful enough to suffer from a condition like cradle cap.

I hope the T-Gel clears it up quickly for you. I think it's easy to forget that sometime your local pharmacist is the best person to see for some conditions.

I got psoriasis years ago & my Dr prescribed coal tar shampoo, which I've had on prescription for years. It's quite harsh tho' I find. My hairdresser said it strips the dye off quicker than normal too. Oma unlike you I think it's a bit pongy.😝 Does the job tho' so no complaints here.

It might be caused by not rincing that part of your hair. Hope it clears up soon Glamm.

You could just be right Plant, with me having such very long hair I could have missed a bit at some time, and at the moment with the problem with the shoulder that just may be the cause,I'll have to make sure DD is about to
hold the shower head properly for me.

Daisy I have used it twice and can honestly say the itchy feeling has got less and less so things going in the right direction I think,I'll just make sure my hair stays covered up whilst away so the back of neck doesn't get hot and sweaty. My DD had a brainwave and suggested a dry shampoo for whilst we are away so I may try that. Thanks ladies for the suggestions very helpful as usual.
