Hospital day.

    Hospital day.

I had my appointment at the Breast Clinic this morning. Examined, Mammogram then consultation. All's well. The feeling is is that the discomfort relates to the scar I have
From an operation I had years ago. She gave me some good advice how I can help myself.

I had my cardiologist appointment too this afternoon. I was referred because of my high pulse rate. It was 130 something when the nurse recorded it today so the specialist wants me to have a 48hr heart monitor & a heart echo. Ill get appointments through for those. The specialist was lovely, but thorough so I don't feel worried at all.

OH & I were in stitches because he had an appointment for an MIR scan on his knee. Truly a hospital day for us.😂

A fun day out then Nana.

I think it was good to get them all done in one day.

Nana - What an exciting day out. Thank goodness you got the all clear from the Breast Clinic, and good to know the specialist is being very thorough about your pulse rate. How did your OH get on with his MRI scan?

Nana my OH always gives out a high reading when his pulse is taken in a hospital and Drs , they told him it is called 'White coat syndrome' . He had to have his pulse measured at home for 48 hours and the readings came back normal as he was more relaxed. The only person on edge through all this was me, all night I could hear the dam thing kick in as the cuff on his arm started to inflate, he slept all through it !
Good news from the Breast Clinic, when do you get the results for OH's MRI scan
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

You're right it was a relief from the Breast Clinic. New baby so not had time to think about things. Still in the euphoric state I think. ❤😍

Mimi I don't know what's involved with the monitor. You've made it sound so exciting 😞. Ha!! I reckon it might be the White Coat Syndrome in my case too.

OH has his follow-up with the consultant on the 22nd of this month when he'll get the results of his scan etc. What a pair of crocks eh? Hee.

I'll join you in the appointments list Nana on the 14th I will have the whole day at the Fracture Clinic having CT scans etc on the broken shoulder saga,I think they will finally decide what to do with me then,it is still very painful and causes me massive discomfort during the night, they are excellent at the clinic and have certainly looked after me well during this long and drawn out process.
Great news on the breast screening fingers crossed for you hubby,s knee scan result. My youngest DGS said "don.t worry nanna they can rebuild you they have good spare parts nowadays"

Glamm and Plant - broken shoulders sound like bad news. I hope you can both get some improvement - I think being kept awake by pain is awful, and I suppose it's worse if you happen to lie on that side. xx

I'm sure broken shoulders are very painful and take a long time to heal

Appointment time in our house too! Bone density scan and appointment about radiotherapy for me this week, 6 monthly oncology appointment for OH next week!

Gem - you're going to need a season ticket for the hospital car park. Stillm it will be good to know where you stand, and as always I hope OH's appointment continues to bring good news. xxx

Oh dear. I hope everyone's appointments go well. Quite serious stuff going on.

I got my two appointments through yesterday. I now have hospital appointments on 21st, 22nd (OH), 23rd & 24th. I can't help but giggle. Me & OH had a good old belly laugh when I told him.
