    ouch!!

I have cut my thumb on a can of tomatoes while makingGSs tea. Deepish cut to the pad. Every time I use the hand it ble3ds again. I am laboriously doing this with my left hand. It is my main reflexology thumb and I have a client tomrrow!
I may just read and Like posts for the rest of the day!!

Ouch indeed Gem. You have to be so careful opening tins. Years ago I managed to slice through the tendon on my right thumb whilst opening a tin of peaches. Ended up with an operation and six weeks in plaster, so please take extra care. Hope it's not too painful.

Painful Gem! Will you have to put your client off or can you manage without it?

Ouch, Gem. That sounds very painful, and a real nuisance. I hope you're ok for your client tomorrow. xx

Not sure if I can work, I will have to experiment in the morning! Don't fancy my chances of getting couch in and out of boot either!
No steri strips Oma but I think I will get some tomorrow.

It was still bleeding slightly if I used my right hand, so I bought some steri strips and used those, then covered it with biggish padded flesh coloured plaster (I had to go to buy them wear a Hello Kitty plaster
I have decided to cancel the client, I don't think I can do a good treatment with that thumb out of action! He was very understanding, and we have moved his treatment to next week.

My friend who I was due to have lunch with has got a bug We will rearrange when she is better. So.... my busy day is now just dropping in on mum for an hour!

Gem - I hope your thumb gets better quickly. It sounds like a really deep cut.

I had to smile at the Hello Kitty plaster, though. I've just stocked our plasters up because we only had Winnie the Pooh ones!

Its fine today Keeping it covered but its not painful and no bleeding. Fastening the baby's poppers at nappy change while putting no pressure on that thumb is something of a challenge however!

Gem - sometimes poppers are impossible (or unpoppable!) even with two good thumbs! It's all too easy to forget and use your thumb which then hurst like mad.
