    Feeling proper poorly!

I know it's just a cold/upper respiratory infection, but you feel rotten with them, don't you?
It started with a sore throat on Wednesday night, and has got worse. I slept in the spare room last night. With my coughing, spluttering and constantly up and down to the loo due to drinking water all evening, OH would have got no sleep.
Most unusually for me I have my 2 childcare days together next week ( I prefer a gap between) Tomorrow and Tuesday. Resting today to hopefully be up to the job!
I am supposed to be going to my mums today, but it's not fair to expose her to this, apart from the fact that I have no voice for chatting.
OH and I due to eat out with a group of friends tonight, a birthday meal. Unless I feel 100% better than I do now by tonight, I won't be going!

Sorry to hear you are poorly Gem. Keep dosing yourself up and do nothing today. In fact why not stay in bed?

Oh Oma, don't let me have given your OH anything!! I did try not to get too close when I hugged him. I hope he feels better soon.

I stayed in bed this morning, Now I'm up and going to go outside for a bit in the lovely fresh air. I do feel quite a lot better so am hoping go tonight, even if I have to come home early. It's a good friends birthday so I will make the effort if I can. If I start to feel like I felt last night however, I won't go.

                Thanks Enfys!

DD2s family has a sickness bug, so we are in a state as a family! I'm not due to look after those 2 children until Tuesday, so hopefully I won't pick that up!

We've got the sickness bug! Started Thursday with gs2, then his mum and brother, then other DIL yesterday and I started yesterday afternoon and now the baby has it. Mine isn't sickness but the other end!! My stomach hurts so much - feeling sorry for myself today .

Well I can report in that I am feeling just slightly better than I did,I came home from work early on Friday and decamped to my bed straight away all tucked up by 5-30pm and I slept until 4am
having to call in sick for the day and keeping the shop closed for the day,I will suffer the wrath of the AM to-morrow for not giving her enough time to arrange cover but I don't care to be honest
we have a current lack of volunteers so needs must I'm affraid.I do hope all you poorly ladies get well soon and feeling better asap.

Oh dear, what a sick list we've got. I do hope Gem, Oma's OH, Avo and Glamm plus Gem's sick family are soon better. Take care all of you and get well soon. I'll also include Plant in that as well. xx

Glamm - I do think you could have given Her Ladyship a month's notice before you were poorly!!!!!!!! xx

I was reading about reactions to the 'flu jab. I have mine booked for Tuesday. I didn't have a jab last year as it didn't make any difference in previous years, I still got 'flu. Last year I had 'flu twice and was very unwell so I thought I'd try again but this time I will take multivitamins too. I hope I don't have a reaction, it's a busy week!
