    Feeling strange.

I've heard from my cousin this evening that my Aunty is now having end of life care. She got E coli/septicaemia whilst in hospital for a urine infection. The antibiotics haven't worked & she's now been in hospital for three weeks. I'm pleased I shared my birthday flowers with her last week. She thought they were lovely. I don't know how I'll sleep tonight. She's mum's sister (93) & the last of mum's siblings. Brings so many memories back.

I headed this topic 'Feeling strange' because the hospital she's in is just ten minutes up the road. It feels strange because I'm just going about my business while my Aunty's life is ending. I feel so sad for my cousins having to say goodbye to their mum.

It's all happening so close to my own mum dying & I hadn't realised how raw I feel. Hopefully for my Aunty it won't drag on.

So sorry Nana. These things are so hard. Sharing your flowers towards the end of your aunties life is a good memory to hang onto xxx

Difficult days for all of you. We lost the last member of our parents generation last year and it was very sad for all of us.

Thanks Shem. She's refusing to eat now but seems to be quite alert still. The older generation are fighters I think.

It's only natural you are feeling strange Nana,so soon after your Mum died. Treasure your memories of her.
