    RSV jab.

Has anyone had this vaccination? My surgery rang to give me an appointment for it. Usually I’m all for vaccinations but after reading a rather worrying article about a serious ( though rare) side effect I’m not sure. Apparently the vaccination is only offered to those between 70 and 79. I know a lot of you ladies are mere children so not eligible. The common side effects are the usual ‘flu/ covid ones, headache, fatigue, etc.I expect I will go for it!☹️

I have had it Clover. I also had the Covid and flu jabs, all a few weeks apart. The result was what I assumed was flu, (tested negative for COVID), then a month’s worth of chest infections. My friend suffered similarly. I can’t say the RSV jab caused it, but It obviously didn’t help with the chest infections which I understood it was for!

I have heard of it, but haven't had the jab - but them I'm the wrong side of 79 for it!

I know RSV can affect children - a great niece of a friend of mine was hospitalised with it two or three years ago - when the little girl was about 3.

I am too old but I am not sure if I would agree to have it.

I probably wouldn't have the jab either.

I haven't even been offered pneumonia and shingles jabs which I think we are entitled to at 70.
I doubt I would be offered this one but I probably wouldn't have it.
