Drug shortages

My DD1 has an area of pre skin cancer on her forearm and was prescribed chemotherapy cream a couple of weeks ago.
She can't start the treatment as no pharmacies seem to have stocks.
She has tried everywhere local and none have it in. DD2 spoke to her friend who works in a pharmacy. She said there is a nationwide shortage of that and many other drugs. She did say supplies are being delivered now, but that they will be giving to patients already waiting.

It may be worth ringing Pharmacy’s a little further away Gem .
When I had trouble getting my insulin last year I had to go to the next town,
Thankfully it was a short lived shortage .

Its a shocking situation when vital medication is in short supply isn’t it .

Update -

DD managed to get hold of some today.
A friend told her that her local pharmacy had stocks of other things which are in short supply so advised DD to check. She did and they had the cream in.

I am amazed that pharmacies don't liaise between each other over these matters.
