Gem, as Plant says - better luck this time. I'm sure the right ones are out there somewhere, although I don't think any of them totally replicate natural good hearing.
I tried again today to persuade OH to go for a check up, but he keeps putting it off. He had to ring off from a call with DS1 at lunch time because he was getting such bad feedback - even on speaker phone. He doesn't believe me when I say he keeps mishearing people, or doesn't hear them at all for the first couple of times they try to talk to him.
