    Covid booster

I have just had my invitation for my spring booster covid jab and I have booked it for tomorrow. Talking to some friends this morning at our knit and natter I was surprised that a few say they are not bothering to have any more. Do you feel it is still a good idea or won’t you be bothering.

I'm not quite in the age group for another booster yet Enfys, but when I am eligible I will have it yes.
Although my experience with Covid was very mild, no one knows each time how it may affect you so I want to be protected.
It's just like keeping up with our flu jabs I feel.

Mine is booked for Friday. I’ll accept anything I’m offered!

B had his last Saturday as he comes under the at risk umbrella rather than age ,
If I am invited I will have it , anything to keep safe ,
Wish it was around before my Brother died of it .

MIL has refused it she thinks at 89 there is no point , tried telling her that’s rubbish but it’s her choice .

I might be bucking the trend, but I'm not having another booster as things are at present. I only have the flu jab very reluctantly and I hope I've now built up some resistance to Covid. I'm worried there are still concerns about the vaccination, like my OH who still has a painful arm from his last one.

I think we each have to make up our own minds though and make the right choice for ourselves.

It is entirely a personal decision Daisy.
My friend M was very undecided about having any covid vaccinations (she did in the end) I must ask her if she plans to continue with them.

Daisy, I am with you on this one, I never had any of the boosters, DB2 was telling me that after his last booster he has never felt right.

That's worrying, Lizzie. My OH literally winces in pain sometimes when his arm suddenly hurts, but it's sore all the time.

That isn't right Daisy, do you think they touched a muscle?

I am not against vaccinations, everyone to their own, a couple opposite here, the same age as I am, don't even have their flu jabs anymore, I had my doubts the last time I had it.

I had mine two weeks ago. Having lost two good friends to Covid and another suffering from Long Covid it was a no brainier.

Sum, that's so very sad, losing friends to this horrible pandemic.

Lizzie, we wondered if they'd touched a muscle, but the previous jab had been painful for weeks and weeks after he'd had it.

As you know about my Brother dying with it ,
Plus I had long COVID for a year ,
so I’m in the if it’s out there chuck it my way brigade .

B with suppressed immune systems has no option but have it.

I have never thought about not having the booster injection.
