    Daytime Naps

Are there days when you feel as though you can't get through them without a nap?

Apparently they can be good for you. But there's a bit of a catch. After 20-30 minutes you go into a much deeper sleep and waking up from that deep sleep can leave you feeling worse than you did before. But if you sleep on for a couple of hours - a proper siesta - then that's good too.

Daisy I tend to feel sick if I have a daytime nap.
I only ever sleep during the day if I am ill.
An American friend was regularly having daytime naps in her 50s and was amazed when I told her naps in the UK are generally for babies, poorly people or the very elderly!

I often have a daytime nap, I put it down to being awake so early. I can't remember my mum never having her afternoon nap! She used to tell us it was just a lie down.

I wouldn't dare have one. If i did i know for a fact i wouldn't sleep when i went to bed at night.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

          Oh I love a Nana nap ,
but I admit if I sleep too long I wake fuzzy headed and feeling rough and sometimes if I’m really tired I have to fight myself awake , that’s not a good feeling .
If I only have maybe 30 minutes I feel so much better .

          Yep I’m a fan 😁

Not by choice but if I do drop off I do not feel refreshed when I wake up.

I sometimes find myself drifting off after lunch, but I don't think I go properly asleep - and it's usually just 5 or 10 mins, but I do feel better afterwards. Mostly, I just sleep well at night, and I know I'm very lucky.
