    Joints

Now Winter is on its way my joints are playing up again ,
As soon as it’s damp and cold my Arthritis plays up ,
Like so many people I wake stiff and in pain and not sure where I hurt the most 🙄😁

at the moment it’s a toss up between my fingers knees and hips ,I think my fingers are winning today .

I moan about it but it could be worse , imagine these little ones born with it , they know nothing else but pain .

I have a old school friend who has had Arthritis in her hands and back since she was a toddler ,

She would be away from school regular and some days couldn’t walk .
In those days there wasn’t a lot of treatment, but as a child you don’t understand it , now I know the poor girl must have had a hard time of it .

She has limited use of her hands now time has taking it’s toll on them but she still manages to walk, nor great but she gets around ,

So I will think myself lucky and get on with it but boy it’s a bugger at times 😁

I feel your pain Oma, as they say! xxxx

How much worse for those who have suffered since being young as you say, and those with rheumatoid arthritis.

I wish there was something more the medics could do to relive the pain people suffer with Arthritis

Its a terrible complaint. Sufferers just seem to have live with it unfortunately.

Oma, I agree with you, I have it in my foot, so painful at times, I now have special soles and luckily I can walk without the pain. I can't walk without shoes on though. I also have it in my fingers, on dear, this age thing.

Oma he is another one with similar symptoms. I have it mostly in my feet and hands but these past few weeks my one knee has started to hurt .
It's the unbelievable pain that can come on suddenly even when just sitting watching TV but it's in the kitchen when I struggle the most . Peeling veg is difficult but last week I discovered that I can no longer use an apple corer.
Little did we know that in our youth silly little tasks like this would cause such problems!

Mimi I can’t use a tin opener properly now and a veg peeler , so annoying .
I mean when did that happen 😱😂
As you say in our youth we could never imagine having creaky joints that was for very old people ,
Im still a slip of a girl 😂😂😂

I'm lucky I don't suffer with arthritis, but I feel for all of you with stiff, aching and painful joints.

It's very frustrating when you can't do simple tasks though. I have a different problem with my hands - it's a bit like SRI and my thumbs in particular have given up on me. I can't even squeeze the shampoo bottle once it gets about half empty and have to start another one, leaving a trail of half-full bottles for OH to use up.

It's heartbreaking to think of toddlers and young children suffering that kind of pain day in and day out.

It’s a nasty complaint. My poor neighbour who is 90 suffers badly and my friend D has it too although not as bad. I’ve got it in my right foot. The Dr said it’s wear and tear and do I walk a lot. Haha. Anyway, I found a half sock on the internet with gel patches attached which cushion the an,Le bone and metatarsal bone, but I dread the day I might be stuck without my ramblings.
So much sympathy for those like Oma who have it really badly. I’m surprised that there is so little research into the causes and treatments,

It must be a big problem for likes of you who love to walk , although they do say keep the joints mobile,
Problem is if you have pain you walk differently to compensate resulting in problems in other places like hip joint or knee joint .
I hope your Gel sock works xx

Sum, I have it in my right foot as well, I blame getting on and off the bike, plus, the wear and tear! I did have an injection in it last summer, never again, it didn't even help. I now have support soles with carbon under so I don't have to bend the foot and I must say they really work, I have been walking 10kms a day the last month with no problems at all. I even have lighter shoes for indoors as I don't want my neighbours complaining.
