    Wisdom teeth

Next Thursday I am having a Wisdom tooth out ,
Now I’m convinced I had all 4 out years ago ,
At the time the dentist said he would have a go but if they proved difficult he would refer me to Hospital dentist but they came out easy ,
Now where this one has come from I have no idea , I thought it was a back tooth ,
I was at Dentist a couple weeks ago she took a X-ray and said it was a wisdom tooth and needed to come out

Surely I can’t have had 5 wisdom teeth , either that or the last dentist took the wrong tooth out🙄😁

How strange Oma, that is why you have lots of wisdom

It's possible the dentist could have taken the wrong one out.
I never had a problem with my wisdom teeth.
I have full dentures now, so i ain't got my own teeth.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

        A mystery Oma!

I hope it all goes smoothly.

That is odd, Oma, but perhaps you did have 5. I've just Googled it and apparently 4 is the most common, but some have fewer and others have more than 4. The extra one(s) are called supernumerary teeth! I didn't know that - we live and learn!

When I saw our dentist's new hygienist for the first time, she sounded quite horrified when she found I'd got 4 wisdom teeth.

Since December last year, I removed two wisdom teeth in the upper jaw, there are two more left. I'm very worried, but I understand that this needs to be done.

Hello Debbiere. Having teeth out is uncomfortable, but I hope you make a very quick recovery. Sending best wishes. x
