    Bone Marrow

In July my Niece traveled to London to Donate Bone Marrow ,
Today she received a letter to let her know that Sadly the person who was to have the Bone marrow took a turn for the worst and sadly Died BEFORE they could give them the bone marrow .
She is gutted to say the least .

We are not sure yet if the frozen Bone marrow will be used for someone else ,
The transplant unit coordinator is phoning her at some point in the next week to talk about it .

Such a sad time for this persons family , they must have felt it was a life line only to have them taken before they had a chance

Oh that is so sad Oma

At least your niece knew she did her very best to try to help that person.

Oma - that is so very sad. The best we can hope is that the frozen marrow can be used for another patient, but it must be doubly tragic for the person's relatives. If only ...

That is sad Oma, I do hope that the marrow can be used to save someone's life.

Oma - that's exactly what I was thinking.
