You might be able to see a pattern in how you're feeling from day to day, and if you can include things like how much sleep you got the previous night and a rough list of what you ate it might help. Tedious to do, but if it can help them sort out out you'll be like a spring chicken again. xx

Crikey Oma…6 phone calls. Now that’s enough to panic the calmest of people! I would have been ‘miffed’ with the mistake too. What a waste of everyone’s time.
I dislike these phone appointments intensely. I have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get results of 2nd set of bloods as the doctor wants to discuss them with me, but just routine of course.
Routine my a**e! Do they think those words make everyone happy?
I think the idea of a diary is a good one. Do you have days when you feel really well?

GM I hate when they say routine too , you still worry ,

For months I have just felt unwell , not to the point of having to go to bed or anything just not right .
Tired to the point of exhaustion , bones aching ,feeling fuzzy headed , several infections , Thrush for 10 weeks , blocked sinus , Vertigo , High BP, Sugar high , the list goes on .
Just seemed to be one thing after another .

I do feel less tired on the Iron tablets and my sugar and BP seem to be settling so fingers crossed whatever is wrong is sorting itself .

Trouble is what do you say to the Dr ? cant really say on the phone well I feel grotty but cant actually say with what

White blood count is very low apparently but been like that for 3 years and Dr just now deciding to test for things

Same here Oma. I thought the blood test was for cholesterol but apparently it showed a problem with my kidneys. 2 weeks ago Dr said it first showed up in 2015! What a pity no-one told me!! Unbelievable!

Why do they not say so GM ,
You could have been having problems and not realised .
It begger's belief at times doesn't it

GM and Oma, that's just not good enough.

GM and Oma - I totally agree with Gem. It's disgraceful that unexpected blood test results have been ignored like that. Surely the whole point of a blood test is to check for anything unusual and then do something about it!

Daisy I don't think its unusual , I have heard of lots of this happening .
It seems if you don't mention anything the Dr's don't either .
Reading some comments on line are shocking .

I think as far as the GPs are concerned, apart from the simple fact that it's near impossible to see one face to face, you never speak to the same one twice. They can't possibly know you in the way the old family doctors did. Over 75 sare supposed to have a 'named' doctor - I can't even remember how many years it is since I've seen mine. The only way I know he's still there is because his name is on their website!!!

We have had so many changes in our surgery , I have only ever spoke on the phone to two of them ,No idea what they look like
The third one left to open a alternative therapy private clinic but came back during the pandemic ,

He is a nice Dr but again cant get to see them

I don’t know who my doctor is now, he moved to the partner surgery. It seems I can only get to see a trainee doctor, she is very sweet but no experience yet. I (presumably) everyone had a text from our surgery from the doctors apologising for the long wait to see someone, that they are aware of the situation.
