    Tablets( Medical )

When we went away on Thursday , We stopped of at the services and I looked at my phone to see that I had missed 6 calls from the Drs ,

I panicked a little as it was unusual and Dr was contacting Hematology about my white cell count ,

I rang the surgery back and the receptionist looked to see why they had phoned ,
Said oh You have to take some tablets and we have sent a prescription to the pharmacy , you must start taking them immediately .

Didn't say what they were or what for and being in the service station I didn't want to have a conversation ,
Told her I was away and couldn't get them till today anyway .

Well wondered all weekend what they were ,
Went to pick them up this morning and they were nothing more than Iron tablets for my Anemia that the nurse had said I DIDNT NEED TO TAKE ANYTHING FOR

Talk about scaring someone , the way they went on I thought it was urgent from the Hospital

I can only assume the Dr decided I need them , but why all the phone calls they could have just let the chemist deliver them as they do with our regular prescriptions and I would have known what they were for , or at least have left a voice mail

Oma - how scary! Don't they realise how messages like that worry patients. I did think it was odd the nurse said you didn't need iron tablets, though - they're usually only too keen to dish them out I've found.

Oma, that would be worrying, I would have been thinking about it all the time I was away!

By the way, I thought this post was about computer type tablets.

                  That's what I thought ,
I mean if you have anemia no amount of iron in food is going to boost it to normal levels quickly ,

What a mix up, there was no need to worry you at all.

I'd have needed some blood pressure tablets after getting that message!!
