I noticed this programme on BBC Radio 4. I think it's on today but it looked interesting, and a different way of dealing with sleeplessness mentally. I'm lucky as I rarely have a sleepless night, but for those not so lucky it must be horrendous. So if the programme helps even a tiny bit it would be worth relaxing with a cuppa (decaff, of course) and listening to it!

One comment that surprised me is how long caffeine stays in the body! It says it has a half life of 6 hours. Yet, I bet most of us have some form of caffeine later than we should.

Thanks Daisy ,
I only drink about 3 cups of tea a day , I have one at about 7pm but drink water a lot ,
Talking to Surgeon yesterday she asked how my sleep pattern was and said she hears it a lot from patients and that its more common these days than it was years ago ,
Said it could be connected to my problem but couldn't say if it would improve after my op so just have to wait and see , to be honest I don't think it will change I have been like this so many years ,
As I have said before I never have a problem getting to sleep its staying asleepIm not fat just 6ft too small

It will be interesting to find out if it changes anything Oma. 🤞
When I wake early now I have my iPod on the bedside table & listen to Stephen Fry telling me the Harry Potter story. (With the earphones in so as not to wake OH). Relaxing & blocks out any thoughts I might have. Thanks for the link Daisy."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
