Thanks Daisy, I seriously considered cancelling the appointment yesterday morning due to the situation with OH. We decided that the hardest bit would be driving home from the appointment, and with OH's good hand being her right she could take off the hand brake and put the car into drive, then into park when we got home. She even did some signalling for me

It's easier today and should be fine in a day or two.

Gem - one of those times when you must be really glad you've got an automatic! I wondered about cancelling the appointment as well, but you needed it doing, and hopefully you can try and rest it over the week-end. xx
