granma2aj - I hadn't heard about this, but I've just Googled it and I definitely wouldn't take any of my GCs to see it. It seems like a wholly unnecessary scene in the film - what point were the film makers trying to make, for goodness sake.

One of my GSs is gluten and dairy-free. He won't go into an anaphylactic shock, but he would have a seriously upset tummy for several days, and it isn't funny.

People don't take allergies serioously sometimes. We were on a plane once, and the cabin staff had started to hand out nibbles and drinks when they found out one passenger was so nut allergic that even the smell of them sent her into shock. They asked very politely if passengers who already had packets of nuts would mind handing them back. One passenger refused point blank!

Some people just don't realise the seriousness of allergies do they?

I hadn't heard about the film either, Granma2aj. How sad that you can't take your GS.

Such a shame that your DS won't see the film granma2aj.

Yes you are right Gem, people don't take allergies seriously.

It sounds as though the film makers have seriously misjudged the public reaction to this. I wonder if they will take that part out?
