    Tiny bit annoyed

Next door neighbours have been having some of their decking replaced and all the old wood was in the garden ,
Yesterday morning they put it all on the path on side of my drive to be collected ,

The way the houses are designed her back gate opens onto my drive , My back gate opens onto my other neighbours drive ,silly I know the way they designed it all ,
Its easy for them to get things in and out like the bins etc and I don't really mind

Anyway along with the wood was all the wet leaves from her garden so I assumed they would clear them away when the wood had gone ,
Waited and waited since yesterday but no attempt to clean up so I have had to don rubber gloves armed with a plastic bag and brush and had to clean it all up myself ,

I would have left it but the wind is blowing the leaves into my doorway and I have just cleared and cleaned it all ,
It wont blow onto her path as her garden is higher than our drive and has a brick dividing wall ,

They are both off work and only in there early 50s so not like they were out all day or elderly ,
B said its just laziness and they know I will do it ,

Right that's my moan for the day

Oma - It's annoying when you keep your garden so tidy, and as you say, you don't want their leaves blowing everywhere. Some people just don't care, and I would include house designers who design houses so that there are shared drives and accesses.

I try to keep my drive as tidy as I can so it does annoy me when they don't see that its their rubbish they should clear it ,
It now needs the hose on it but I'm going to see if it rains to save me the bother , Look now I have said that it wont

That's a definite tide mark, Oma. What a mess they must have made.

When we lived in our big house everyone had open drives with small hedges in between. The next door neighbour a very ignorant and nasty man decided to paint the little fence on his side of the hedge. He invited himself into our front garden and we found d that there was pink paint all over our bushes. No harm done but very annoying. When we said to him about it he started shouting and yelling about how we should respect him because he was in the war (second world war). We didn’t ask him to do anything about it we just asked him to get permission before he does things like that as it wasn’t the first time, he painted the fence betweeen the bottom of his garden and ours once and again we ended up with paint all over the place. We didn’t say much at the time because it was a long garden and where the paint fell wasn’t that visible. Sometimes people do need a bit of a slap (metaphorically speaking).

We can Pressure hose it but as its still nasty weather there doesn't seem any point ,
We did it in November and did their wall so it was nice and clean more for us looking out at it to be honest

I will mention it to her in passing give her something to think about and with luck make her feel guilty .
I was going to go out with Buckets of water so she could see what I was doing but she went out and didn't come back till it was dark

It was piled as high as the top of the wall and muddy , they knew that when they carried it through from the garden .

Oma if you mention it in passing it will have no effect. People do that sort of thing because they know they can get away with it. Q one of our neighbouring flats had tenants in for a while and we had the same, no thought for blocking the shared (between four) drive and always blocking the drains with all sorts including nappies. One day I was at my kitchem window (first floor) and saw the mother throw a carrier bag full of dirty nappies into the gutter. I contacted the owner but she came back and said the tenant said the did no such thing!

                              Nana - so true!!

                              Zizi - what a nightmare!

I think all these awful neighbours should live next door to each other and leave the rest of us to live in peace!!! That's my Grand Plan for the Universe - for today!!!
