We live in an unadopted road so it has no pavement, we the residents paid to have it tarmacked and it was then discovered one side of the road owns about half of the width of the road as originally there was only a footpath down one side the road into the woods. When we had the road made up the committee found that they needed to insure the right of way as if anyone hurts themselves the owner was in trouble. I hope this lady has it insured, after all you might slip on her precious piece of grass. We are lucky as we have no frontage onto the road

Plant - I hadn't thought about the insurance aspect of the grass verge, which also has a row of boulders along the road edge - presumably to deter cars from parking on the precious grass, but in fact are a great magnet for your average 3 year old to balance on and jump from one to the other!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are.
