    Post man Grrr

This morning the postman knocked with a parcel for me and could I take in one for next door while he was there ,
    Yes no problem ,
He said I will leave a card to tell them its hear , while he was doing that she opened her door so I handed it back and closed the door .

Just been out to wipe front window sill and there is the card he wrote out torn up and thrown on my drive where he parked his van along with half a dozen elastic bands

I'm not happy so I have sent the post office a email , all he had to do was put it in his van and dispose of it when he got back to the depot ,or even ask if I would put it in my bin ,
Not the first time ive had issue with the post man , the one that delivers our mail each day has a habit of throwing his cigarette ends on either the drive or next doors grass ,
Next door went out a few weeks ago and made him pick it up again when he threw it on her grass ,
No need for littering like that its just being lazy
Im not fat just 6ft too small

    Disgusting, lazy behavious Oma!
We sometimes find those thick elastic bands that they use, on our drive. They obviously just drop then once they get to the end of that pile, rather than put them into their pocket or bag.

We find the elastic bands on our path. Hubby picks them up and saves them.

Around here the children love the elastic bands especially the red ones, they collect them and put them on their scooter columns. It is a source of pride to get as many as possible. My postman is a gem, we know that if anything is delivered which won’t fit through the door he puts it in a special place in the shed and he has even done the same when couriers have left things on the door step. He does not drop his rubber bands so we know if there are any on the pavement or outside the gate etc. He has not been on duty.

I pick up the elastic bands to use but I agree they shouldn't be dropped in the first place.

I pick up the bands and re-use them, but don’t find many. We are lucky, we have two post ladies and they are very efficient. I can’t say the same for the bin men, they are lazy, messy, couldn’t care less. The firm has been fined once but it has made no difference.

We are lucky with our regular postman, but the other one isn't so helpful. The nice one even brought Eva back after she'd wandered off the other day! We don't get many elastic bands, but I save them as well! We're also lucky with our binmen - they take extra bags of rubbish, and large piles of cardboard boxes if they're broken down. We don't have wheelie bins, so everything is in bags and tied up, so unless animals or birds tear them open we don't get any mess. And they come every week.

Pleased with our lovely posties. A delivery firm I'm not keen on as they dropped a parcel marked 'fragile' over our 6' gate!

AH Nana I have had that several times, once I got a text to say something had been delivered. It hadn’t. Went downstairs and looked in garden, nope nothing there so opened gate to see if it had been left with neighbour and as I did so a parcel hit me on the head as they had left it balanced on the top of the six foot gate! In the first place the gate was not locked, Second it was chucking it down with rain and third it was an electrical item. I tweeted re bad service and they asked for ID reference and said they “shared my pain” to which I responded that they have shared my pain at least five times this year for similar instances so I was not going to bother sending the reference as nothing would be done! Nothing changes as recently a passer by knocked on my door and handed me a package which had been left on the front garden wall!

We seem to have a different postman/lady every day.
ZIZI, we have never had service as bad as yours by couriers.

Zizi - they aren't really delivering your parcels - they are just abandoning them somewhere near your home.
