Cheapskates can afford a holiday but not parking

someone has parked their car outside my little block of maisonettes and gone off for a week to Ibiza. We have precious little parking as it is AND they have parked across a big sign that is where the utility company is going to dig because of a faulty electricity main but of course they cannot dig with the car there. The main does not affect us but does affect others. If they have the money to go to Ibiza then they should pay for parking or take a taxi or get someone to drive them to the airport. We are all very cross. Four maisonettes and 7 vehicles. I do hve a parking space which I admit I don’t use all the time fir various reasons and two of the other flats also hVe parking spaces but that is not really the point.

In addition we we are getting more and more taxi drivers sleeping outside and dropping their rubbish out if their windows and even peeing in bottles and chucking them over the fences. We have a huge Tesco where they can go and not get in anyone’s way....... GGGRRRRRRR

There are some cheeky s*** ZIZI. I would leave big note on the car, for when they get back, if you have and idea when that will be.
We always pay for parking at the airport. We would rather leave the car in a car park rather than on a roadside.
I feel angry for you ZIZI.

I think I might be inclined to do a little more than leave them a note, without damage, of course. How long does a car have to be 'abandoned' before it gets towed away?

GM as long as it is taxed it can be parked there for as long as anyone wants! I would like to put a big note sealed in plastic saying something sarcastic and supsr glue it to the windscreen but then that would damage the windscreen and I would be the one in trouble.

Nan2 I often let friends park outside my garage when they go on holiday instead of pah8ng the high prices. There are also places you can pay to park for as little as a fiver on the internet one of them is “Park on my drive” but I think you have to be careful. A man over the road does the park on my drive and he moves the cars off once the owners have gone. I can only presume he lets people know. He often has four cars at a time which he moves so he must be making money.

Anyone is is welcome to my car parking space if going from Heathrow don’t forget!

Zizi shaving foam on the windscreen will do no harm but will be a bother to them , if you know roughly when they are coming back ,
I like the new thing where people buy these big industrial rolls of cling film and wrap the car in that again no damage but a bugger to unwrap

                  Totally inconsiderate Zizi!
Surely they can see that is a residential area. The rest of us pay to park our cars, or get airport taxis, what makes them think they don't need to??!!
I can see why you are incensed,.

I read your update on FB. What a mess. Pity there can't be fines for these inconsiderate people. Can't the Council make it a residential parking area or something?

I saw one on YouTube Nana where they also cling filmed the car to a parking sign made it harder to get off , no damage done in fact it protects the car but gives them something to think about before they badly park again 😊

I am seriously considering doing this as the utility company got someone to move the car this morning and it is by a lamp post now! In addition the chappie lodging upstairs next door has a monster truck and he moved all the barriers out there for access last night to park! I went downstairs at 7am this morning, oh and a lovely sight I was for sore eyes - severe bed head hair. Nightie and long purple cardigan that had seen better days plus glitterry slippers which are so old they do not glitter anymore, I am surprised the young man didn’t sign himself off sick! He told me the barriers had been moved and I told him where to find the driver of the monster. He came back and said he had received a mouthful. The chap drove off about twenty minutes later not looking too happy at all. Anyway now they have dug a Bruddy big hole and we are waiting for the filler inner people to come back and then presumably we have to wait for the putter of the pavement back people to come.
