    Adverts

On another thread I had a bit of a rant about soaps and trashy programmes but my pet hate is stupid Adverts .

The one I want to break the TV with is the stupid girl on the Oral B advert , the one where she knows how to look after her body and heart but not her mouth
THEN she comes out with... " I didn't know Oral B made a tooth paste " ....Where the hell has she lived for the past 5 years or more or is she such a little Princess she doesn't do her own shopping ? honestly I want to slap her .
I know she's acting but it gets me so annoyed then she starts brushing her teeth with no Toothpaste , Do these people think we are stupid Grrr.

Mind I do like the check your credit one with MOOSE the dog ,only for the dog though
OH I'm in a ranty mood today

Oh don't get me started, car ads , why do almost every single one of them show this new, all singing all dancing car on an empty road ?
That Go Compare singer standing on the wings of a plane, seriously?
Not forgetting sofa ads, every week a sale and it won't long till they start telling us that if we are quick we can have a new sofa for ( turn away now if this C word will upset you ) Christmas because apparently you can't have the festive season without a new sofa, it's the law I believe 😉😆
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

The one that ( among many other contenders) that I can't stand is the one for washing up liquid where the boy "really, really " wants the bottle to make something. For goodness sake decant the washing up liquid into another bottle and give the kid the wretched bottle
I love the "Moose " adverts too

How funny - I saw 'that' Oral b advert tonight for the first time, and I really really wanted to tell that silly girl to go and get a life!

Have you notices how the cars in those car ads are always spotless - even if they've just drive through hell and high water.

My other pet hate is those men prancing about in denim shorts and high heels. They must have been paid an awful lot of money to make such fools of themselves.

The Oral-B advert was on last night, and i thought to myself, i really hate this ad.
Also agree about the one for Go Compare, where they are stood on a plane.

Now speaking of car adverts. In years gone by, on a car advert, they used to show you the inside of the car, lift the bonnet up so you could see the engine.
Open the boot, so you could see how roomy it was or wasn't.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I cant bare those horrible green slimy gremlins running about the toilet rim,why do they always show this at meal times and the sooner that Singer looses his footing on the plane the better for everyone, but hey-ho it must be paying off as the advert must cost a fortune to make and show at peak times as they do.

Oma, I loved all your rants yesterday, I could just picture you typing them I hope you feel better for it. There are some very irritating adverts.

Glamma, I have to switch that toilet gremlin advert off, it makes me feel sick!

Yes, sofas in time for Christmas, what's that all about?! I have never met a single person who needed a sofa in time for Christmas!

Gem - in fact, I'd think the exact opposite. Why would you get a new sofa so the the whole family is clambering over it, spilling drinks, dropping crumbs or worse! It's a bit like those adverts and magazine articles that say 'get your home Spring-ready' or whatever season it is. How many of us refurnish our houses when the season changes!

What annoys me is the BBCs adverts! They are very keen to advertise their upcoming programmes on the news, or other advertising between programmes but of course, the B BC doesn't advertise!

Avo - I agree. Sometimes I can't tell which are trailers for future programmes and which are actual programmes! But I don't watch much telly and am easily confused, especially when they are advertising programmes on other BBC channels!
