    So annoying

Why is it that whenever your looking for something you can never find it ,but as soon as you stop and change something it pops up .
I did have two sets of cream faux leather drawers but they became a bit tatty so I wanted to change them , couldn't find a replacement for them anywhere I had them either side of my fire place so I had to settle for some taupe coloured ones I was never happy with so I got rid all together and now have small side tables , browsing on Amazon last night and low and behold they now have the cream ones back in . I can't tell you how many times I checked on there and every other place possible with no luck ,
why I was looking was I also have some very narrow drawers in the hall by my radiator cabinet and they have become damaged and tatty over time so I want another set, they so handy to put gloves scarves etc in and fit into a very small space nicely . Guess what I can't find them either , as sure as eggs are eggs as soon as I replace them with something else they will be in stock again 😠😠😠😠

Things are only ever there when we are not looking for them I think!!

I bought a new rotary washing line three years ago at enormous expense. It has to have a cemented in socket and I know we bought two. I can't find the spare for love nor money and as we hope to be moving in in March I will need it. I have ordered another but you can bet the original will turn up as soon as we move. 🙄

          It's S**'s Law, isn't it!

What usually happens to me is I order something as a replacement for an item or component that's worn out, then the day after the new bit is fitted, the whole machine/item breaks or something. It happened with a new cutlery compartment for the dishwasher, a new hose for the washing machine, a new shade for a lamp which got chipped and lots of other things.

I still wonder what happened to the rather special Christmas Ornaments that I bought when The Christmas Shop first opened in Albert Dock, the shop opened in August and I put them under the stairs to keep safe until the festivities they have never been seen since at the time they cost an arm and a leg in £s and they where a treat to myself, mind you it was just over 20yrs ago but I will always wonder what ever happened to them.

Glam a this reminds me of my DD a couple of years ago she had a huge cream fur throw on her bed it was like a polar bear a lovely thing , anyway they decided to decorate the bedroom in the summer and she put it away , come the winter she couldn't find it anywhere and neither her or hubby knew where it had gone ,
About 1 year later she received a card in the post from Johnsons dry cleaners to say as she hadn't collected the throw and it was 1 year since she put it in she had 14 days to collect or they would donate it to charity , They couldn't for the life of them remember taking it to the cleaners , she was so embarrassed going to collect it and explaining why they hadn't been for it 😀

My DD put her laptop away "somewhere safe" before she went on holiday but could she find it on her return? No she could not She searched high and low but no luck. Eventually many months later it turned up when she'd forgotten all about it.

I love these stories of vanishing objects. I feel better about all the things that have vanished into a block hole somewhere in our house.

I once lost a pair of new linen trousers, we searched all the wardrobes, ironing pile, and far more unlikely places. No sign. Some weeks later I had a Lightbulb Moment, I had taken them with me when we had a weekend away! We contacted the hotel. They checked, and yes they had found navy linen trousers in that room!
They posted them back to me free of charge, which was very good of them.

I've lost count of how many times I've used the house fone to ring my mobile when I can't find it.😂
