In Sunderland there was a man called Brian Moore who was a Artist and he always wore Victoria clothes complete with top hat and cane , he was known as The Spectre no idea why , A lovely gentleman who was kind and polite and talked to everyone , for many many years he has been a landmark so to speak , he recently passed away with as far as we know no known family , His death has been announced in our local echo no age given but he must have been in his 80,s so far 996 people have left messages of condolences in two days and thousands are expected to attend his funeral , he may not of had family but he was a respected and we'll loved character of the town , I don't go into my home town of Sunderland very often these days but it will be odd not seeing him sitting chatting to people

We had what I suppose we'd call a " gentleman of the road" who used to wander around our town.He had long dreadlocks and used to carry all his possessions in a black bin liner slung over his shoulder. He once handed in some cash he had found while a less honest and less needy person would have kept it. When this gentleman died the turnout af his funeral was amazing. It just goes to show how respected he was.
