    The Missing Trousers

For a while now I have been looking for my navy linen trousers. I bought them towards the end of last summer so they have hardly been worn. I knew I had worn them this year, but then we had a cool spell so I didn't want to wear them, and stopped searching. When the weather improved I looked for them again. Ironing pile? Any of my various wardrobes in our room or spare room? OH's wardrobe? A shelf? The floor of any of the wardrobes? No to all of those. Presuming I just wasn't seeing them, eventually I asked OH to look. She searched the house and declared the trousers not there

A mystery. Then I cast my mind back and remembered wearing them when we had our night away for our anniversary a month ago. Surely we hadn't left them there? We both remembered checking the hotel room before leaving, but it was worth asking. We emailed the hotel, and sure enough, Housekeeping had found trousers in our room on that date! We presumed we would have to go and get them, but they kindly offered to post them. I think I must have left them on the back of the chair, as we both checked the wardrobe.
Alls well that ends well, my trousers will be returned

Well shows you it's always best to ask , we have left phone chargers before but not clothes , I did leave A silky scarf hanging on the back of the cabin door when we had our last cruise but before we got to the car the cabin steward came running towards us with it , it was only a cheap thing but he was determined I got it back bless him , Good of them to post your trousers back Gem

Ha ha Gem we had something similar when we went to T2S at Easter. Husband could only find one trainer when we got there and unpacked. Of course I got the blame until I pointed out that I packed bits into the case and he packed his in just before we left. We had to get someone to drive him into Aylesbury so he could buy new trainers because he only had black leather work shoes otherwise. When we got home the "missing" trainer was not at all missing and was on the bedroom floor where the husband had left it. He said he was sure it was something to do with me. How is that so then? I wasn't even in the room when he was packing his bits.

We stayed in a b&b some years ago and the host said wh n she cleaned the room for our visit she found the wedding outfits the previous occupants had left. I wonder how they managed

That's good then Gem I was missing a gold bracelet when I got home from a w/e away could only assume it was in the hotel room although we had both checked before leaving, when I rang yes it was found by housekeeping down the side of the bed on the floor, must have fallen off the side table and they posted it on too which is pretty good customer service !

We shall draw a veil over what excitement may have been going on to make the bracelet fall down the side of the bed Qwerty

Gem, I'm glad you will be reunited with your trousers!

On the second night of our honeymoon we stayed overnight in a hotel in Dover ready to get the ferry to France the next morning. It wasn't until we got home 2 weeks later that I realised I had left my 'going away' shoes in the hotel. They also kindly posted them back to me.

Plant, I can't imagine what. Little did OH know that was the start of his life with someone who is always losing things. It drives him mad, poor love.
