    Helpful GP practice

When we got back from holiday on Saturday I went to put a prescription in to the chemists, but being Sat afternoon they were closed. So I took it to the surgery, hoping it wouldn't take too long what with the Bank holiday etc - the chemists is usually the quickest.

Yesterday morning I got a lovely pleasant lady phone me from the surgery saying the doctor had done my prescription and it had been sent to the chemists! I mentioned I was due for my annual MOT and had had the required blood test 3 weeks ago but with going away I hadn't got round to booking an appointment. She offered to do it there and then. She offered an appointment for next week which I couldn't do, and ditto with the next two dates she offered. We found one when I was free eventually, but quite a change for it to be the patient who can't do an appointment rather than the medic!

She was very cheerful and helpful and I thought if I'd been feeling ill or down in the dumps she would really have cheered me up!

Amazing service Daisy, just as it should be but sadly rarely is these days.

That was lovely to read Daisy. We hear of so many complaints these days.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto, that's why I posted it really. So often it's not the case, and it's nice to be able to say something good. x

I get very good service from my surgery, it is quite small, opposite a chemist so very convenient. It is attached to a much larger surgery.
