    Gem - that's amazing.

I suppose I often regret buying things is because OH and I compromise, and sometimes we end up with something that doesn't please either of us. You think after nearly 54 years of marriage we'd have sorted things out better, but we haven't!

Gem - it would be nice to think there's nothing you regret buying.

Apart from the glass television stand, I can't think of anything

Another one here who brought a glass tv stand and deeply regretted it . Oh the dust !

When the two boys were little we brought a plain brown carpet for their bedroom. It was rather like the glass tv stand , a huge attraction fordust It showed up every tiny speck of dirt .

The tumble dryer I have at the moment. Its no where near as good as the previous one I had

Mimi, at one time when the children were small I had a longing for a burgundy carpet. As I'm no Oma I talked myself out of it,imagining all the bits it would show!!

It seems I'm not alone with glass TV stand hatred!!

Gem - we need new stairs and landing carpet, and my colour choice is very much going to be about which colours will show fewest dog hairs!

I have a navy blue door met as there is a lot of blue in the hall, I didn't realise that my grey hairs would show up so much on it, then the children's blonde ones when they were younger, not to mention bits of cotton etc if I am sewing.

I find navy blue anything shows Eva's ginger hair even worse than black. My heart sinks for visitors (back in the old days) who visited us wearing smart, immaculate navy blue.
