    Stupid people

Heard in our local echo last night several pubs have had to close as some man who had COVID symptoms and was waiting test results decided on Friday night to go on a pub crawl in case he was isolated if they came back positive , we’ll guess what he was positive 🤬

Now because of his irresponsible behaviour several pubs have had to close and many dozens of people are waiting to be contacted to self isolate all because of one selfish idiot who thought he would get off his head with drink regardless of the consequences.

Hope no one dies because of his recklessly behaviour. If that was the case he should be charged , can’t tell you what people are saying about him it’s unrepeatable

I despair at some people’s mentality some times 🤬🤬🤬

      Good morning, Oma and Sum1.

I hope Oma you got some sleep eventually. Sum1, I think you're on GMT, but living where you do I think that's rather neat. But we can change it to BST if you wish.

Oma - what a selfish, inconsiderate human being. I'm sure people are saying similar things about him. I wonder if he could be charged, even if the Covid guidelines aren't laws as such he set out deliberately to do something he knew could have serious consequences.

That’s why we continue to see these spikes, people behave irresponsibly and innocent people suffer.

Everyone is of the same opinion he should be prosecuted, knowing he had possible COVID and still going from pub to pub ,
making people who are abiding by the rules very angry .

Because of people like him we take on step forward and two steps back .

Saw in a paper this morning pictures of people crowed on a Cornwall beach with the tag line 'Standing room only '

And now there is a suggestion that if the infection continues to rise over 50s + could be asked to isolate.
Judging by the pictures in the papers its mostly the under 50s taking no notice of the health warnings and rules .

I personally haven't seen much of ' We're all in this together ' malarkey.

Mimi - I agree - Isolating the over 50s isn't the answer - it's just a sticking plaster to try and prevent large scale infections in older people. The answer is for current restrictions to be enforced, and as you say, it's mostly younger people who think it's life back to normal who are crowding onto the beaches and other holiday spots.

I feel sorry for families who live in large urban sprawls where there are no green spaces, but I'd like to bet a lot of those people flouting the guidelines aren't in that category either.

There has been much discussion and anger, on the DIBB forum about the over 50 nonsense. They are just picking daft ideas out of a bag now.

My GS, Dil and the two children are in Cornwall for a week, I hope they find some safe beaches.

Plant - I'm sure there are safe beaches, but locals are feeling the pressure - we certainly are. The Forest is packed with visitors, not social distancing and of course shopping in the villages etc. A neighbour complained to our Tesco Express manager yesterday about the dirty state of the self-pay screens, the lack of social distancing, people ignoring the hand sanitiser and the fact that baskets are being used and reused without being sanitised. The reason given for the last one was customers haven't been trained to clean the baskets therefore the cleaning facilities have been removed. You couldn't make it up, could you.

Lyndhurst is a nightmare of a village. It's a permanent traffic jam through there anyway in the summer, and people are crowding on to the narrow pavements. I dread to think what the shops are like.

The irony is there is so much open space here - you wouldn't have to drive more than a few miles to be well away from other people.

The towns, cities and beaches are far too packed here, people don't seem to be bothering anymore, now, we have a new update tomorrow evening from the government with new rules as there are far too many new corona cases, the amount has more than doubled in a week so we shall see what tomorrow brings.
