    Richer Sounds

Five years ago we bought a sound bar for our TV from Richer Sounds. We dithered about paying £70 for a 5-year warrantee, and in the end decided we would get this extra protection. They said at the time if you haven't claimed within the 5 years you can have your £70 back. I can remember thinking 'Haha' at the time, although I do think RS is an excellent company with great customer service.

Anyway, the 5 years were up, and OH rang to see what they'd say. "Pop into the shop", they said, "and we'll give you the money in cash."

So we got there about 11 am today, only to find they didn't open until 12.00. But there was a button at the door for assistance for wheelchair users. OH rang it. A charming young man said "do come in, we can do that for you straight away".

    Well done, Richer Sounds.

I have never seen a bad review for richer sounds.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto - neither have I. In fact I used to use them as a case study for their management style for students.

Plant it is to use with your. Instead of using the sound and volume control with your tv it comes through the sound bar.
It gives a more ‘cinema surround sound’ .
we have a sound plate, it’s the same sort of thing only our tv actually stands on the plate , whereas a bar usually sits in front of the bottom of the tv.
Our sound plate has Bluetooth so I can play my music from my iPad or phone through it.

Daisy you had had really good service. We on the other hand lost our money that we paid out to insure our tv .
This was many years ago , the company that we brought the insurance from went bankrupt in the same week as our tv broke down .
We now take on the advice from Martin Lewis, never buy insurance from a shop where you are buying your products from. Any quote you get for the insurance put that amount into your bank .
You will gain any interest on your money, not the insurance company and if in the unlikely hood that your product does need repairing you have that money to put to it.
He says that with most products you buy insurance companies know that they will be very unlikely to pay out to the customer within the time scale quoted

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Plant - Mimi has explained better than I could!

Mimi - we generally don't take out those sort of insurances on anything, and I'm not sure why we did this time. But at least they did what they said they'd do - no interest, though!!
