    Bloom and Wild

This wonderful company send flowers in flat boxes, to be posted through the letterbox. In my experience the postman always knocks and hands the box to you wherever possible, but they are designed to go through the letterbox should no one be home.
I have had these bought for me on several occasions. In my opinion they are much nicer than any I have had from Interflora and other similar companies. The flowers are so beautiful, with no waste-of-time green fillers and cabbage looking things, which are not to my personal taste.
All the delicate flowers such as roses and peonies come with a net covering on each flower head. They come in bud so they over the next day or 2 reach perfection.
They are cheaper than other flower deliveries as they can go in the regular post, and you arrange them yourself. As many of the professionally arranged bouquet only look good until you put them into a vase, this is no bad thing.
Full instructions on flower care and arranging your bouquet are included, and flower food for days 1 and 3. I was lucky enough to be given 3 months of flowers for my birthday. The first bunch, which arrived on Monday are gorgeous (pink roses, pink peonies, small blue stuff and a little white baby's breath type flower) and will be around until I go on my holiday next weekend I'm sure. The 2nd lot will arrive the week after I get back

Well done Bloom and Wild for making flower deliveries more affordable (and beautiful )

Sounds lovely Gem .I’ve often wondered about these “letterbox” flowers Now you’ve recommended them I’ll certainly try them when I next need to send flowers. Thanks for the information.

Gem, what a lovely present, having flowers for 3 months, and even better that the flowers are so good. I don't like the cabbagey things either (does anyone, I wonder!) and feel a bit cheated when the bulk is cheap poor quality greenery.

              Thanks for the recommendation.

                You're welcome ladies
I wish I had taken a photo when they first arrived or maybe a day or so later when they reach their peak.

This photo was taken today, almost a week after they arrived, still looking good.

Agreed, a friend sent me some when I was so poorly last year and they lasted ages. I only use them now having had disappointing experiences elsewhere

                    Gem, they are beautiful.

I love peonies! My MIL gave me a peony root when OH and I were first married. I had heard they were 'difficult' and dodn't like being moved, but MIL's garden was infested with ground elder and I was keen not to introduce it into our garden, so I washed every last speck of soil of this root, thinking I'd probably killed it. Stuck it in the garden and lo and behold it thrived. I have moved it to every house we've lived in and it is still growing beautiful flowers 52 years on!
