I’ve put some pics on from next door, remember the girl who rented the house not much more than gypsies and that’s insulting them , the owner has now decided to move in herself and is having it extended , she hasn’t moved in yet but the garden has been like this a week , it’s one of the reasons OH is depressed , I wasn’t going to mention it as I always seem to have a moan , she is the niece of my best friend who lost her OH last February lives opposite we’ve been friends 40 yrs but sad that she chooses to ignore this mess , my Dd is coming tomorrow she is mortified and says it’s disrespectful , think my OH will stop her saying anything , we couldn’t possibly put the house up for sale now with that lot next door 🙆🏼♀️🤷♀️

Qwerty,How awful for you some people have no idea as to how they should behave do they when it comes to the appearence of their properties, even though we now live in a Association bungalow we have pride with how we present it outside,we have a gardener come every 2 weeks in the summer to trime the lawn edges and plant up our bedding plants etc.
We change the voiles every 6 weeks to the front and wash the paint work every week-end all the neighbours seem to do the same and if a couple of them can't manage we have been known to help them out.
Can you not say "well now you have moved back in there will obviously be an improvement in the external appearance" ? or is that not possible ?
My DD would be like yours and you would have to sit on her to stop her saying something I really do hope you can get it sorted out soon. xxKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Oh dear, why can’t people understand how their actions affect others. Not wonder J is feeling like he is, sometimes it only takes one thing to push you backwards. Unfortunately not much you can do, unless having a word with her would make any difference."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

I can understand why it annoys you and gets you both down Qwerty. I hope it is gone soon.
Many years ago when mum and dad's neighbours started to pile stuff up outside mum contacted her local councillor and it was gone in no time.
He told mum that you don't have to put up with anything causing problems by sight, sound or smell.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Qwerty, one of my dreads was that a next door neighbour might start a car repair thing on their drive. Been lucky so far. I did see your pics on another thread but I can't find it now. What a mess! Hope it's gone before long."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Gem - it came up for me, too (Admin privileges, perhaps?)
Qwerty - I hope she gets it cleared up quickly - I'm sure she won't want to live with that, and if she's having an extension built the builders will need the garden cleared to get the gear in and out. At least with building work although it creates a mess there is always an end in sight.

A neighbour who piled rubbish up in their garden was forced to get it cleared by the council. Have a look at your council’s website as there should be some information there. What is the house like inside? Hopefully not more of the same! At least once the garden is cleared you could sell up and move on.xx

We have scaffolding in out garden as has the neighbour the other side , can’t stop that I suppose it had to be done , but why she has to dump all the rubbish when the builders are trying to build a few new rooms beats me, the house has some furniture in Shem it came with the rubbish it’s been decorated whilst the building is going on she’s crackers , they have to knock 2 doors through to get to this extension so will be very dusty I can’t understand the woman , there is a lot more to this lady and I use the word lady loosely 😱Last edited by Qwerty; 04-02-2019, 10:40 AM.
