Wastage

I ordered a book from Debenhams at the weekend just to top up an order for £50 for free delivery,, so only £6.99, it arrived today and the photos show how much wastage there was by the size of the box , the plastic padding to stop it rattling around in a big box , I find it ridiculous. No wonder there is global problems if this is what big companies do, the doll that came for my g/d yesterday the box was twice as big as the doll so lots of plastic padding to stop it moving about , you would think they would have boxes of all different sizes it was like they had 3 sizes only ggggrrrrr
Whats wrong with a padded Jiffy bag I ask you !!

Qwerty its the same with Amazon the packing and size of the box is shocking ,
The book as you say could have gone in a padded Jiffy bag or a cardboard wrapper

Unbelievable !!!!!! I think companies should be fined for over wrapping, boxes too large etc they would soon stop if we could report them

Well it’s Dunelms turn to astound me although the carrier is the same as Debenhams I ordered some bedding including pillows from the above and to get free delivery I needed to spend another £8 which didn’t take much doing, ordered a little ornament a zen . Only the zen ornament has arrived 2 more parcels to arrive
The ornament came in a box within a massive box !!!!! with loads of polythene cushions to stop it rolling around, the small parcel wasn’t wrapped in the bubble wrap just put at the bottom and and wrap on top so the ornament was still sliding around at the bottom , I GiveUp !!!!!!!

Blooming madness I agree fine them , they would think twice about it then , Complain to Dunelm head office too , I truly believe if we don't complain nothing is done

Qwerty - I totally agree with you (about the waste, not being bored!).

My Karcher window cleaner, a bottle of concentrate and a small electric propagator arrived today, in a huge box and packed with 27 of those large poly air bags! 27!!!

And the box was badly damaged and gaping open! Fortunately the contents seemed ok, so perhaps it did need 27 airbags.
