    DD not happy

About 8 weeks ago now DD ordered a new front and back door , she wants a sort of dark grey so they had to be ordered in ,
This morning she rang the firm to see when they were delivering as she's having the drive done and trees taken out of the front garden this weekend and Astro turf laid so is looking forward to it all been done ,
They said 6/8 weeks , when she phoned they said they would ring back , 15 minutes later the guy rang full of apologies the doors haven't even been ordered yet they lost the order form and sizes ,
She was gutted so they are coming out tomorrow to re measure and have taken 20% off , a nice gesture but she would have rather had her doors on time ,

Oh no, what a pain Oma. Always such a shame when that happens, too often I’m afraid. It will all look lovely when it’s done, hope they arrive ok this time.

Hope it's not SafeStyle. We used them a couple of years ago & our porch amost fell in. Hope she gets it sorted soon.

          What a disappointment Oma.
It would have looked lovely for it all to be done at the same time.

Oma, I hope they don't take too long. These things happen and it's disappointing and annoying, but hopefully she will treat herself to something nice with the 20% discount.

Oh, that is so annoying. This is not the first time I have heard of orders going missing, hard to imagine how it happens really, isn't it? I can imagine how cross and disappointed your DD is Oma.

Occasionally Safestyle drop a team (I think they are based in West Yorkshire?) into our village Nana. I have found them to be rude, unpleasant and lacking in any people skills. I would never employ them. In fact I once phoned head office to check there actually was a team in our area, so awful was the man at my door. There was

Like your DD Oma a small independent firm replaced our windows and doors.

She only rang them because she was having the work done and didn't want them delivering while that was going on ,
She's sad they will take longer getting sorted as now there is no rush the new drive needs the sand put in between the block paving and the garage door needs sorting so they will get on with that too , just disappointed it wont all come together at once

I can imagine her frustration Oma.

Gem I won't even start on SS company. They had a stand in our Town centre & I felt so strongly that I wanted to stand next to it with photos of the carnage they caused. (Deep breaths Nana).

Our neighbour used SS to replace all his windows and doors and I'm sure there held in place by the amounts of mastic they used. Very shoddy work and there was certainly no care taken removing the old stuff. Bet your DD's door will look lovely when it finally arrives though Oma!

I’m sorry to read about Dd and her doors, nothing worse than looking forward to them coming and the shock when you find out they aren’t even ordered, it’s a bit soul destroying, we are waiting the delivery of a new suite, ordered it back end of June told us it would take up to 13 weeks seemed fine with that but after waiting5 weeks my fingers are drumming the table and there is loads of time to go yet 🤨 Oma when they do come they will look lovely as does the sound of the garden too

It will Qwerty , She has a small drive with a little grassed area with bushes and a large conifer at the front , she's had the Drive re laid and having the bushes and grass taken away , putting Astro turf down then they intend having a small wall built with iron railings ,
