This is all that's left of my inner oven door ,
took it off to clean it , sprayed it with glass cleaner and it exploded

Had not been used so it was cold ,

That is awful and could of been very dangerous, you need to put in a very strong complaint for compensation. You have only had it a while and could of been seriously injured.

Think we did Daisy we brushed twice hovered then washed the floors , Need to pull the fridge and the freezer out sometime tomorrow though , I bet there is a fair bit under there ,
Considering it was flat on the work top .

Oma looking on various websites incidents like this aren’t as rare as you might think.
Shocking isn’t it , after all most ovens come with glass doors now , in fact I have a double oven , so a potential for it to shatter twice !
What make of oven is it ? Hopefully they are swift at getting you a replacement and a full apology.

Been on to Currys , they sending a new glass within two days , they didn't seem surprised so it must be a normal thing ,
Full of apologies but that's about it ,
Brian emailing Belling about it and Currys head office .
They did offer to replace it for another model and although I'm unsure about this one now ,it took so long to finally get one that was not damaged on arrival , didn't turn up , or worked for a week , we, well when I say we I mean Brian decided we better off keeping this one .
He wasn't happy on the phone to them but its only a call centre operator isn't it ,
If hes up to it tomorrow we will go into the store .

Oma just read this, your the glass wasnt warm was it as cleaning it with glass cleaner contains alcohol and can make it heat up more, you have no luck with ovens at all hun, best stick to takeaways !!!

No Qwerty , oven had not been on at all so stone cold ,
Been looking it up on line and it happens more often than I thought , lots of people saying the glass shattering for no reason
