No grass in the green bin!

No grass in the green bin!

OH cuts the lawns and hedge for one of her golf friends each September when they go on holiday for almost 3 weeks. OH is happy to do it, but the friend insists on paying her. This year she is treating us both to lunch out as payment (Last year I helped OH. This year I wasn't free to go with her on either of the times she went, so I am getting an unearned meal really!)

OH has to bring the lawn cuttings and hedge trimmings away, and take them to the local recycling centre.
    Why you may ask??
The husband of OH's friend doesn't like anything in the garden waste bin as it makes it dirty
I was speechless when OH told me, last year. If things like grassy bins bother you, surely that is what hosepipes are for??

What?! Do they put nothing in the bin, then?

Do do they pay for their green bin like we do,here, if so, what a waste of money.

        Ridiculous, isn't it?!

        We don't pay no Enfys.

I thought of the liner Oma, but OH says we are not allowed to put those in the green (garden waste) bin. I would think as long as you clip it on so it doesn't go into the lorry with the garden waste it would be OK though.

How strange. He should have a compost heap then there wouldn't be so much of a problem.

Crazy, absolutely crazy. Is his green waste bin just for decoration. I dare your OH to put some in, go on, he needs to be shaken out of his objection to a dirty bin

I think it's a bit of a cheek, to expect your OH to take the cuttings to the recycling centre, when she has been kind enough to keep the grass cut.

From what OHs friend tells her, her OH is OCD about lots of things, not just the garden. Keeping kitchen and shower immaculate etc. So much so that the friend often showers at the golf club to save messing up the one at home!!

That explains a lot Gem , OCD can become like a illness and you can't control these feelings , in a way I can totally relate to that , more so when I was younger

Can't be easy living like that. They must be aware that this is unusual behaviour and feel embarrassed at having to ask.

When DS1 was a toddler he touched an ornament and it moved slightly. Our neighbour actually got a tape measure out to reposition it. She said that it was her OH who was very particular. What a nerve wracking way to live!

What I can't understand Gem is that if he can clean shower and kitchen how come he doesn't cut the lawn , S isn't a youngster and has her health problems maybe they need a gardener , but of course I don't know their circumstances 🙄

Qwerty, it is only when they are on holiday that OH cuts the lawn for them.
