Colours

Having finally got around to contributing to Omas Trends thread started me thinking about colours in the home.

Is your home one colour throughout, different colour schemes for each room, do you change colours regularly or stick with what you like for years???


Our hallway, stairs and landing are in two shades of grey.
Living room is soft green, dining room French blue and beige. There is hardly any kitchen wall, but what there is is a bright turquoise.
One spare bedroom is blue, one cream. Ours is supposed to be a soft pink, but the paint has remained in the tin for years!
It's a dull beige colour presently.
Bathroom is fully tiled in beige and gold tiles. Downstairs loo papered in vynil which looks like tiny blue, white and grey tiles.

At present my sitting room is white and navy but shortly it will be a soft green and cream ,
Dining room is white walls as is the kitchen walls but the new kitchen is pistachio green, with wood work tops ,
Hall stairs and landing is half white and half light green panels,
Our bedroom is white and pink and spare room navy and white ,
Bathroom is white with a boarder of blue mosaic tiles ,
Downstairs loo is white with dark grey units and a dark grey wall behind the loo .
I seem to be in a green faze downstairs at the moment ,

I'm sure our colours will sound weird when I list them!

Our hall, stairs and landing as like Gem's two shades of grey with grey carpet on the stairs and landing. The hall is parquet (put in when the house was built about 1970) with pale grey runners. The living room is also pale grey walls with a grey leather armchair, a pale green armchair and sofa and slightly brighter green curtains. This floor (and the dining room) are also parquet with a green striped rug and a grey circular one. The dining room is white walls, with one raspberry one. The large rug is Chinese and predominantly pink. White voiles at the french windows and window.
The kitchen is white walls with one very pale grey, white units and "white" goods.

Upstairs the main bathroom floor is wooden-look planks, beige tiles, white walls and sanitary ware. Duck egg blue curtains. Our ensuite is fully tiled in grey with some narrow tiles for a bit of bling. The suite is white and towels are grey, white and bright orange. Our bedroom has a wood look floor, pale grey walls, grey and white bedding and geometric-patterned curtains in shades of grey, black and orange on a white background. The guest room has primrose white walls, pale blue cupboards, dark blue black out curtains, and the bedding varies - white, pale blue, denim look or cream. My study is white walls and cupboards, pale green bedding and white and pale green and yellow flowery curtains.

I would love to redecorate the whole house, but would probably end up using fairly similar colours!

All of our walls are in some shade of magnolia. I know it may sound boring, but we like it.
All of our rooms have an accent wall.
The conservatory walls are grey though.

Not wanting to offend, but there is no green in our house and never will be.
