Coverless duvets

What I wonder is how quickly do they dry, in winter when we can't hang them on the line in the sunshine?

I'm not sure that they appeal to me,but each to their own.
I have several duvet covers and i quite like them.
Changing them every week isn't a problem for me, but i understand not every one is able to do it.

I really like the idea of a coverless duvet. It's a battle to change the cover on our king size duvets, and they never look great unless I iron them. That doesn't happen often! I generally wash all the bedding and put the same set back on that night. I'd certainly be interested in trying a summer weight coverless duvet but want to see one "in the flesh" first, because I would want to know how it feels.

As the coverless duvet is used directly on the body, I would want to change it certainly no more than two weeks. I still use a down filled duvet.and a sheet.

Plant, I would still want to wash it every week, but if it's easy to chuck it in the machine and then either dry it outside or in the tumble dryer it will be much easier than a duvet and separate cover.

We tried using a top sheet, but I still felt the duvet cover needed its weekly wash, so it was just extra work.

I think it's a good alternative for summer though and a good way to see if they are any good ,

I might try it for the summer. My down duvet hugs me and keeps me warm. My lovely cleaner changes the cover and pillow cases.
