    Hot Tip!

I have just read in my RHS mag that sprinkling meal worms (dried I presume) near your plants and veg encourages the birds to eat them and the slugs and snails that rampage through our gardens. This way we don’t have to put anything chemical down. I am certainly going to give it a try.
I can’t help thinking about the old woman who swallowed a fly though…..

The robin in my garden loves mealworms but the blackbirds have most of them. Will try putting them on the border.

Grauntie, I haven't got round to reading the RHS mag yet this month, but there are often good tips.

This sounds like a good idea, although I might have to explain to Eva that she has her own food and mealworms aren't for sharing. I've taken the coward's way out over slugs and snails and try not to grow the things they find irresistible.

        Hmm, worth a try!
The hedgehogs love mealworms but they are like chocolate for them apparently, a treat as opposed to regular food

We are always putting mealworms out for the birds. Thanks for the tip.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I will pass that on to my DD although she gets so many birds in the garden they will be all eaten before a slug is seen I expect 🤣
