    Help, burnt saucepan!

Not sure where to put this. GD’s OH has just burnt one of my copper bottom saucepans. I believe and hope one of you lovely ladies has a method to remove it. We have treated it with vinegar and bi-carb but nothing happening so far. He is trying boiling it, fingers crossed.

I hope someone can help Plant.
I think I once read about soaking a solution of washing powder for this?

I once heard that boiling cola will clean a burnt pan.

Or a dishwasher tablet. Have you asked Mr Google Plant?

I thought I had replied to this yesterday but I mustn't have ,
I suggested washing powder or dishwasher tabs also,or scrubbing with lemon and salt.
                Coke is another good solution

Plant, there is nothing I can contribute to this, except to say good luck. Copper-bottom saucepans don't come cheap. xx

Oma, don't worry you did reply

You did on Plants original post on an existing thread.
I copied here to a new thread on the Home section where it would be noticed.

My Dil has soaked the saucepan in Coke a Cola and it appears to be releasing some of the burnt on sugar. Fingers crossed.

Plant, let's hope the coke will get the rest of the burnt bits off as well. Sugar sets so hard, doesn't it.
