These things rarely seem to go smoothly Daisy do they?
I'm sure in the end will have the beautiful patio you want , but you could do with it being a hassle free experience.

You're right, Plant. We knew he had another job to finish off yesterday - that had been agreed - but I bet he didn't finish that.

I just hope he's here tomorrow!

Well, things are moving along so much better now! He was here fairly promptly yesterday and quite early today. He got another skip organised plus a cement mixer which came today. They've started to lay paving slabs and we're very pleased with how they're looking.

They appreciated the donuts I got to celebrate the first slabs going down, and we're happy with what they're doing. Finger crossed it goes smoothly from now on.

(I tried to Air Drop a photo or email it but neither would work, but I will post some photos when I can.)

I'm sure they did appreciate the doughnuts
Fingers crossed for no hold ups.

They will not want to finish the job if you are feeding them donuts.

The bad news is OH and I ate the rest of the doughnuts!!!

I'll probably do some baking tomorrow or Monday. Even if whatever I make doesn't keep the workers happy, OH will enjoy it.

Doughnuts don't last more than a day, so you and OH had to eat them Daisy. Wasteful otherwise

We just give workmen biscuits with their tea and coffee. I learned years ago not to leave the biscuit tin though. I leave several each on a plate, after the time the tin was completely emptied, so I had to go to buy them some more for the next day!!

Daisy, you will have some very happy chubby workmen.
